Willow class have participated in many different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Maths) activities over the past few months. They were lucky enough to attend a Creative Cluster in Scoil Chríost Rí. The focus of this was on climate change. The children created sustainable vehicles, designed and made insects and birds and created cities and had to protect them from melting ice caps! It was a very exciting morning which challenged children to be creative and think critically.
For St. Patricks day, the class designed and made leprechaun traps. The children were very creative in their designs and created attractive, shiny and colourful traps.

We were also lucky enough to get to programme and create mazes for the Beebots. The class created mazes for the Beebots and experimented programming the robots to make their way successfully through the mazes.
