Members of Oak class have got together with Beech class over the past number of weeks to work together for one reading session a week. Each member of Beech class was assigned a buddy from Oak and each pair sits together for 30 minutes on a Tuesday in the Beech classroom and reads three or four books together.
Pupils from both classes have been discussing pictures, characters, settings, making predictions and connections about their reading. Aside from the great reading and comprehension skills shown, there was great turn-taking, cooperation and friendship shown towards each other too. Maith sibh Oak and Beech classes!
