What is an Educate Together School?
Educate Together national schools are mainstream national schools, operating according to the Rules for National Schools as determined by the Dept. of Education & Science. There are currently 95 Educate Together National Schools in Ireland and this number is growing every year.
Educate Together Schools are:
- Child-centered: We learn through exploration, discovery and play.
- Multi-denominational: all children having equal rights of access to the school, and children of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds being equally respected.
- Co-educational: all children work together to explore their full potential.
- Democratically-run: We encourage active participation by all members of our school community, including parents, staff and students.
