We were visited today by James Lafferty of the Irish Red Cross. James is Treasurer and Community Officer of our local Red Cross branch, and he was in school to receive our donation of €1500. This money was raised in our recent table quiz, and will go towards relief efforts in Turkey and Syria in the aftermath of the recent earthquakes there.
James also spoke to children of Willow and Oak classes about the work of the Red Cross at home and abroad. We wish them success in all their endeavours!
Thanks to our staff who organised the quiz, and we know that the funds raised will be put to the best possible use.
