Optimism has been the buzz word in Cherry Blossom room throughout the month of February. Having spent the first week or so reading and carrying out activities based on the book “A Little Spot of Optimism” by Diane Alber, pupils learned a lot about looking on the bright side, focusing on the positives and having a growth mindset. The following week was spent undertaking fun activities like turning lemons into lemonade (turning a sour situation into a sweet one!) and doing arts and crafts activities based on pushing out negative thoughts. All in all, there was great learning undertaken on overcoming challenges and being optimistic by all pupils.
